Vaishno Devi, Char Dham, Amarnath and the Uttar Pradesh temple circuit, run by a team based in Katra since 2010. Helicopter sectors where they exist, honest word on where they do not.
A yatra is not a holiday with temples in it, and the planning is not the same. The dates are fixed by a calendar you do not control, the hardest part is usually a hill, and the thing that ruins a trip is almost never the hotel. It is a missed darshan slot, a grounded helicopter, or a schedule with no slack in it. Every itinerary below is built with a spare day for exactly that reason.
We work out of Katra, which is where the Vaishno Devi yatra starts, and that shapes what we are good at. The J&K yatras are ours end to end: we are ten minutes from the helipad and our people are on the track. For Char Dham, Kedarnath and the Uttar Pradesh circuit we run the trip with partners we have used for years, and we say so rather than implying a local office in every state.
Helicopter is the question we get most, so the short version is here. It exists on the Katra sector for Vaishno Devi, on the Jammu sector as a separate and far costlier premium service, and for Kedarnath from Phata, Sersi and Guptkashi. It does not exist for Amarnath on the packages we run, which are foot treks. A helicopter ticket buys you altitude and time, and on the Katra sector it buys you nothing at the cave, because a boarding pass there is a transport ticket and carries no priority darshan.
Prices on this page are per person and are starting points, not quotes. What moves them is the hotel band and the season, and both move a lot: Katra roughly doubles through Navratri, and Char Dham rates track the opening and closing dates of the shrines. Send us dates and a group size and you get a real number, usually the same day. There is no pay-now button, which is deliberate.
The Vaishno Devi helicopter package, which replaces the 13 km climb with an eight minute flight and a 2.5 km walk down from Sanjichhat. Add a battery car or palki at the top and the darshan is assisted from the helipad onwards. For Char Dham, the helicopter itineraries cut the Kedarnath trek, which is the hardest leg of the four.
On the Katra to Sanjichhat sector, no. A boarding pass there is a transport ticket with no priority entry at the Bhawan. Priority darshan comes with the Shrine Board premium Jammu to Bhawan service and with puja bookings such as the Nav Chandi Path. Anyone telling you otherwise about the Katra sector is selling something the Shrine Board does not offer.
No. The Amarnath packages we run are foot treks on the Pahalgam route. We do not list a helicopter Amarnath package, and if you see one advertised it is worth asking exactly which sector it covers before you pay.
For Navratri, the Amarnath window or the Char Dham opening weeks, six to eight weeks ahead, because hotels and helicopter seats both go early. Outside those windows two to three weeks is usually enough for a comfortable choice of hotel.
For Vaishno Devi, tickets are issued only by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and no agent is authorised to sell them. We run the booking process on your dates using your details, which is not the same as holding an allocation, and we cannot guarantee a seat on a public release. For Kedarnath the sectors are operator-run and booked through the state portal, and we handle that the same way.
Normally your travel to the start point, lunch, pony or palki charges, battery cars and ropeways. Helicopter fares are included where the package says so and excluded where it does not, and every package page states which. If a quote is cheaper because it quietly drops one of these, it is not cheaper.
