Trip Overview

Auli in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand is India's premier skiing destination — a 3 km ski slope with 500 m vertical drop set against some of the most dramatic Himalayan scenery in the country. At 2,519 metres, Auli offers panoramic views of Nanda Devi (7,817 m), Mana Parvat, Kamet, Dunagiri and the Garhwal Himalayan range — a backdrop that makes skiing here a uniquely spectacular experience. The Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) manages the slopes with ski equipment rental, ski school and slope grooming. Asia's longest cable car (gondola) connects Joshimath to Auli making the ascent itself an adventure. Beyond skiing, Auli is a base for trekking to Gurso Bugyal, Kwani Bugyal and the stunning Chattrakund lake. NorthYatra's Auli winter package covers accommodation, ski equipment hire, ski lessons, cable car and all transfers.
