Trip Overview
The Valley of Flowers National Park in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand is one of the most spectacular and unique destinations on Earth — a high-altitude Himalayan valley (3,658 m) carpeted with over 500 species of wildflowers, orchids, poppies, primulas, marigolds and the rare Brahmakamal. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, the valley comes alive between July and September when the flowers are in full bloom. The trek begins at Govindghat (1,829 m) near Badrinath highway, passes through Ghangaria base camp, and ascends into the ethereal valley. The adjoining Hemkund Sahib — a sacred Sikh gurdwara at 4,329 m beside a glacial lake — makes this an unparalleled combination of natural wonder and spiritual experience. NorthYatra's expert-guided package manages all logistics so you can focus on the breathtaking beauty.
