Trip Overview

Sometimes all you need is 48 hours to reset. This North Goa weekend escape is designed for busy professionals, quick getaways from Mumbai or Pune, and first-timers wanting a taste of Goa before committing to a longer trip. In just two days, you'll experience the very best of North Goa — the legendary beaches, a historic Portuguese fort, the colourful capital Panaji, and the warmth of Goan hospitality. Day one gets you to Goa and straight to the beach. Check into your hotel, freshen up, and spend the afternoon at Baga or Calangute — perhaps trying a water sport or two. As the sun goes down, head to Fort Aguada for one of Goa's most dramatic sunset views over the Arabian Sea, then enjoy dinner at a lively beach shack. Day two is your condensed Goa highlight reel — Anjuna Beach's bohemian vibes, a quick walk through Panaji's colourful Fontainhas quarter, and a browse through the local market for cashews and spices. Before departing, steal one last moment by the sea. This package is ideal for anyone flying in for a quick Goa fix from Delhi, Chandigarh, or Mumbai.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 2 days enough to see Goa?

2 days is enough to experience the best of North Goa — the popular beaches, Fort Aguada, Anjuna, and Panaji. For a fuller experience covering South Goa, Dudhsagar Falls, and spice plantations, 4–6 days is recommended. This weekend package is ideal as a first taste or a quick recharge trip.

What is the best way to reach Goa from Delhi or Chandigarh?

The fastest option is a direct flight — Delhi to Goa takes about 2.5 hours, and Chandigarh to Goa has direct or 1-stop flights of around 3–4 hours. Trains from Delhi (Goa Express) take around 28–30 hours and are a budget option. Our transfer picks you up directly from Goa Airport (Dabolim or Mopa).

Can this 2-day package be extended?

Yes! We can easily extend this to a 3-day, 4-day, or 6-day package at your request. Simply contact NorthYatra and we'll upgrade your itinerary to include South Goa, Dudhsagar Falls, a spice plantation visit, or a sunset cruise.

Which is better — Baga Beach or Calangute Beach?

Calangute is larger and more crowded with vendors and water sports operators — ideal for the full Goa beach experience. Baga, just 2 km north, is slightly less crowded with a more vibrant nightlife scene and beach shacks. Both are excellent — we cover both in this package!

What should I pack for a Goa weekend trip?

Pack light! Essentials include: swimwear, flip-flops, sunscreen, sunglasses, a light cotton outfit for evenings, a power bank, and valid ID for hotel check-in. Avoid carrying valuables to the beach.

Is Goa affordable for a weekend trip?

Goa can be done on virtually any budget. This weekend package starts at ₹5,999 per person. Street food, beach shacks, and flea market shopping keep costs low. Budget travellers can have an excellent Goa weekend for ₹3,000–₹5,000 all-in excluding flights.

Are flights from Delhi to Goa available in the budget airlines?

Yes, IndiGo, Air India Express, SpiceJet, and Akasa all operate Delhi-Goa routes regularly. Fares start from ₹2,500 one-way if booked in advance. NorthYatra can assist with flight bookings at an additional charge.
