Trip Overview

Goa is India's beach paradise — a place where Portuguese heritage meets tropical coastline and every sunset feels like a celebration. This 3-day package is your gateway to the best of North Goa's famed shores. On arrival you'll be transferred to your beachside accommodation and given the rest of the day to simply breathe in the salty sea air at your own pace. Day two takes you on a guided North Goa beach circuit, covering the bustling Calangute Beach, the hippie haven of Anjuna, and the charming Vagator with its dramatic red cliffs. Stop at the historic Fort Aguada for panoramic views of the Arabian Sea, wander the colourful Saturday Night Market (seasonal), and sample Goa's iconic prawn curry and fresh catch at a local beach shack. In the evening, explore the vibrant Candolim promenade or join a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River. Day three offers a leisurely morning — perhaps one last dip in the sea, a stroll through a flea market, or a breakfast of fresh-baked pão and bebinca — before your transfer back to Goa airport. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a taste of Goa's famous party culture, this short break delivers all three. Perfect for first-time visitors, solo travellers, and quick weekend escapes from Delhi, Mumbai, or Chandigarh.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best time to visit Goa?

The ideal time is November to February when the weather is cool and pleasant. The beaches are most vibrant during this season and all water sports are fully operational. December and January see the most tourists due to Christmas, New Year, and Sunburn Festival.

Is Goa safe for solo female travellers?

Yes, Goa is generally considered one of India's more traveller-friendly destinations for solo women. Stick to well-lit beach areas in the evening, use registered taxis or app cabs, and inform your hotel of your plans. North Goa's popular beaches have good tourist police presence.

What water sports are available in Goa?

Goa offers jet skiing, parasailing, banana boat rides, bumper rides, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, and dolphin spotting boat trips. Most are available at Calangute, Baga, and Anjuna beaches. Water sports are typically priced between ₹400–₹2,500 per activity.

How far is Goa airport from the main beaches?

Dabolim Airport (GOI) is approximately 30–40 km from North Goa's popular beaches like Calangute and Baga, which is about a 45–60 minute drive. Mopa Airport (GOX) in North Goa is closer to beaches like Arambol and Morjim.

Can I do a day trip to Old Goa from North Goa?

Absolutely. Old Goa with the UNESCO-listed Basilica of Bom Jesus and Sé Cathedral is just 10 km from Panaji and easily reachable in 30 minutes from most North Goa hotels. It's ideal for a half-day sightseeing excursion.

What is the local food I must try in Goa?

Must-try Goan dishes include Fish Curry Rice (Goa's soul food), Prawn Balchão, Xacuti curry, Bebinca (layered coconut dessert), Goan sausage pão, and the local cashew feni (liquor). Beach shacks in Baga and Anjuna are excellent for affordable, fresh seafood.

Is it possible to extend this package to include South Goa?

Yes! We can extend your stay to a 5–6 day itinerary covering South Goa's tranquil beaches like Palolem, Colva, and Benaulim, the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, and Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary. Contact NorthYatra to customise your Goa itinerary.
